Giggle your way to a better closet
We love seeing new Pacific Northwest authors being published. And when it's a Northwest blogger who's crossed over into print? All the more reason to celebrate!
Portlander Winona Dimeo-Ediger, voice of the popular fashion blog Daddy Likey, recently published Closet Confidential: Style Secrets Learned the Hard Way, a style guide for the real world. It's full of practical tips for everything from jeans to outerwear presented in an engaging, humorous format. With its realistic ideas about budgets and bodies, it could get you thinking about your closet in a whole new way.
Will it change the world? Nah. But it just may have convinced me to dip my toe into the world of blazers.

My fave fashion tip is to invest money in items you are going to keep a long time and wear often. They are worth it and will last longer.
I wear crazy tights. My skirts and tops are all simple with basic colors and classic lines. But my tights are awesome with confusing geometric patterns and sometimes garish colors. This means that I will inevitably get complimented on my tights and people will ignore everything else that may (or may not be) somewhat boring.

My tip is for the "older" gals. Invest in toe hook gel pads and you CAN wear cool shoes, bunions or not.

my best fashion tip is to take the time to do your hair. You look so much more put together when your hair looks nice, regardless of what else you are wearing !
My favorite fashion tip, courtesy of What Not to Wear, is to have your bag or shoes be a "pop" color.. or as they sometimes say, for the color to go with rather than match your outfit.

My best tip is to accessorize well. My wardrobe is pretty basic, but I always have fun bags or jewelery.

Invest in good basic pieces in neutral colors.
Shoes: a girl can't have to many of them. Sneakers, heels, boots one for every occasion
I also tweeted and am following you. Your site is awesome! Keep up the good work!
Take good care of your clothes - they definitely will last longer.
Heels look good - all the time. Unless you're exercising, of course... :)

My favorite fashion tips come from Tim Gunn! He's always saying to make sure your clothes fit you well. There's nothing worse than something too tight or something you're swimming in!
