Buckle up - simplifying airplane safety for kids
Our kiddo is reaching the age where he needs his own seat on the airplane. Though it means more money, the extra space to wiggle will be wonderful. It also means we need to find ways to keep him seated and safe, preferably without the hassle of lugging around a car seat in addition to all the other bags.
CARES Child Aviation Restraint System is just the thing! It is a portable yet secure safety device for children, like my son, who weigh between 22 and 44 pounds. It essentially works with the airplane's lap belt to create a harness system similar to a car seat and takes only minutes to install. While we can vouch for the ease and comfort of CARES, we'll let the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification speak for it's safety. In fact, the CARES website states that it's the only Aviation Child Safety Device to be certified by the FAA as an alternative to a car seat
Of course if you need a car seat when you arrive, you can always check it as luggage and use the CARES device on the plane. That's one less thing to worry about during this busy travel season. And frankly, what mama wouldn't like one less thing to worry about?
