Just what the doctor ordered

When I came across the clever mechanical cards from Oregon's Molly Lee, I was smitten. With pop-ups, levers and spinning wheels, these cards are anything but ordinary. I was browsing through her shop trying to pick a favorite when this bold headline grabbed my attention: "Hey Cancer!" You don't see many Cancer related greeting cards so of course, I had to see the rest. A pull of the lever shows Rosie the Riveter giving cancer an...um...appropriate gesture. And the inside reads "TAKE THAT!"

What a perfect way to support a friend battling cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Cancer sucks, there's just no other way to say it. But when you're helplessly watching a friend fight for their life, sharing a giggle can be just what the doctor ordered.

$5 at Molly Lee

GIVEAWAY! We have a "Hey Cancer" card from Molly Lee to giveaway to one lucky reader! Congratulations to our winner, Aleda. Thanks for entering, the contest is now closed.

The cancer one is great, but I also really like the "drink a toast" ones.

Oooo, tough one - the cancer one is pretty awesome, but I think the 'tell someone 3 reasons they're awesome' with trees is my favorite.

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING

"I found you on Twitter and I LOVE your concept! Your blog reminds me of the eco version of Daily Candy."

"...I just love your site! I’m a regular visitor now, and I love entering all of your great giveaways! Well done!"

"I just wanted to let you know that I received this product last week and it is SO incredibly adorable! I was going to keep it for myself, but I want to show it off so it might be going to one of my best friends for her baby shower - that way all the moms there can see it. Thank the sponsor for me please! Thanks again!"

"I'm totally falling in love with your website. Great stuff!"
