Propaganda for the next generation

Introducing Portland artist Joe Wirtheim's The Victory Garden of Tomorrow, an effort he's described as "art project posing as a propaganda campaign for new, American homefront values". The throwback images--reminiscent of mid-century war posters--promote the sustainable green ideals so many are bringing to life in their homes today, from recycling to practical gardening to composting. Hanging a few of these around the house would sure drive the point home!
With their engaging artwork and quirky mix of modern and retro, it's no wonder these posters are getting more and more attention. Including that current exhibit at City Hall.
Available as 12"x18" giclee prints or hand-pulled screenprints.
$12-18 at The Victory Garden of Tomorrow
