A bulletin board you don't need to hide
Bit by bit we've been sprucing up the home office/guest room at our house this summer. One thing that was clear from the start was that my raggedy old cork bulletin board needed to go. (I've been hauling that thing around since my college dorm room days. It's embarrassing.) But I still needed a space to stash my notes and reminders. And so the hunt began for a worthy replacement.
Right now I'm grooving on the steel memo boards from Oregon's [ekoh]design by Kirsten Hadley (the same artistic mind behind the lovely paper poms we featured earlier this summer). The sturdy steel sheets are made interesting with colorful hand-printed papers featuring mod dandelions or dots. The 12" x 12" size is small enough that it won't overwhelm a small workspace. (Wouldn't four of them grouped together look interesting in a larger space?) Add a handful of tiny magnets, and I finally have a memo board I don't need to hide behind the door.
