Cupcake nirvana

I think of cake as merely a vehicle for delivering sweet, delicious frosting into my mouth. And if you ask me, cupcakes are the ideal frosting transportation due to their perfect cake to frosting ratio. But there is one caveat, and this is important, they absolutely, positively cannot be grocery store cupcakes. I want my frosting to taste like butter and cream, not oil and artificial flavors.

Okay, now that I've got that off my chest, let me tell you about a cupcake shop that lives up to my high standards - Saint Cupcake. Portland locals can visit their charming shops in NW and Belmont but lucky for the rest of you, they now deliver cupcake kits! You pick 3 cupcake flavors, 3 icing flavors and 3 kinds of sprinkles and they arrive at your door ready for you to decorate and devour.

Saint Cupcake makes their cupcakes in small batches using natural ingredients which is the key to ultimate yumminess. And the flavor selection will keep you coming back for more. From old favorites like vanilla with chocolate buttercream and red velvet with vanilla cream cheese icing to more adventurous flavors like the banana chocolate chip with peanut butter fudge aptly named Fat Elvis. And they have a few vegan flavors each day as well!

What are you waiting for? Click over to Saint Cupcake and order your cupcake kit.

  • Dots $1.25
  • Regular cupcakes $2.50
