A dress for all seasons
Spring is one of my favorite Pacific Northwest seasons, with the trees coming back to life and the tulips in bloom. But the erratic weather--brilliant sun one day and downpours the next--can wreak havoc with wardrobe planning. Especially when your daughter has outgrown her winter clothes but it's not yet warm enough for her summer wear.
Enter the pillowcase dress. This loose-fitting, sleeveless dress can be layered over a shirt on rainy days, then worn alone when the sun is shining. And thanks to the adjustable neckline, it works as a top when she's outgrown it as a dress. So you get even more months of wear out of a single purchase.
Some of my favorite pillowcase dresses are handmade by Etsy seller Baby Darling. I love her fabric neck ties, impeccable stitching and carefully chosen modern fabric pairings. And unlike some pillowcase dresses on the market, Baby Darling dresses are fully lined.
Available in sizes 6m-4T, or larger by custom order. And right now Baby Darling is running a "buy 2 items and get a 3rd for half off" special. What better excuse do you need?
