A little something for the walls
There is no easier way to bring a unique finish your child's room than through the wall decor. And with so many artists now selling their work online (more affordably than you might expect), there is no excuse for using generic prints from a big baby store chain.
And why would you want to, when you can have choices like these?

Our latest find is Portland artist and mom Rebecca Prucell. At Barking Bird Art, she offers an impressive collection of fun animal prints perfect for wee ones' spaces. Her digitally colored pen and ink illustrations wonderfully combine sweetness and whimsy. They are cute but not sappy, colorful but not gaudy. The difficult part is deciding between the crafty owl or birds on a road trip. And how do you pass up the oh-so-Northwest tree hugger?
Most of her prints are issued in limited runs of 50, so you have the added bonus of knowing you have one of the few copies around, purchased directly from the artist. Something you could never say about that chain store art.$9-18 at Barking Bird Art
