Haircare goes green
When my search for organic products turned to haircare, I was a little worried that I would have to make some compromises. For example, I tried green shampoo's that didn't lather. While that didn't effect the performance of the product, it just wasn't the same. So I braced myself for these trade-offs.
Imagine my surprise when I found a shampoo that not only worked for my oily scalp and dry hair but also lathered well. John Masters Organics haircare line is free from all the bad stuff (sodium laurel sulfate, parabens, DEAs, TEAs, MEAs, petro-chemicals, artificial colors, artificial fragrances). Plus it's organic and never tested on animals. Best of all...it works! I use the Zinc & Sage Shampoo with Conditioner for my quirky scalp/hair combo. I'm not normally a fan of shampoo and conditioner combos but this one leaves my hair with that perfect balance of soft and clean. There are several cleansing and conditioning products so you can find your perfect balance.
After falling hard for the shampoo, I thought I'd give the styling products a try. I would use the Bourbon Vanilla & Tangerine Hair Texturizer for the yummy smell alone. Fortunately it also adds that right amount of shine and texture. Use more for choppy pieces or less for all over smoothing and shine.
