Warming heads, not the globe
With temperatures dropping, it's time to start thinking about keeping little ears warm.
This year I'm picking from the Cagoule Fleece Half-pint line of hats for kids. Four cute styles, all made from recycled plastic soda bottles. That's right, soda bottles. The material in the Cagoule Fleece hats, scarves and gloves is made from 85% post-consumer recycled fibers. The contents of your recycling bin turned into fleece that is lightweight, warm and wonderfully soft.
And if that's not eco-friendly enough, the Portland-based company has an in-house zero-production waste policy, donating fabric scraps for reuse and creatively recycling the packaging from their suppliers. I half expect them to come over and compost my trash for me.
The hats are selling out fast this year, so take advantage our reader discount to snap up one for yourself and support a company that's doing the right thing at the same time.
