Comfy Cruisin'
I used a sling with both of my babies but recently discovered a more versatile baby-wearing option; the mom-invented Ergo Baby Carrier. It transitions sling to front carrier to back carrier to hip support which means it will last from infancy through toddlerhood!
Unlike a sling which puts the majority of the weight on your shoulder, the Ergo Baby Carrier distributes the weight between your hips and shoulders. And unlike the Baby Bjorn, with the Ergo the baby faces the parent which allows you to control the amount of stimuli, soothe a fussy baby with ease and properly support a sleeping baby.
I also bought the attachable backpack (shown in the pic) which means I don't have to lug around a separate diaper bag. Or strap on the front pouch when you just need to carry a few essentials.
