Do you believe in miracles?

Once upon a time we had a baby who loved her pacifier. She also loved her infant swing. And her swaddle. Add those together and you have the recipe for a solid night's sleep. We thought we were the smartest parents ever.

Fast forward a few years and there was another baby who refused a pacifier. He also balked at a swaddle. And the infant swing? That's for fun, not for sleeping. Needless to say, it took a little while to invent a new recipe for a solid night's sleep. We thought we were the dumbest parents ever.

Then one day, out of desperation, I decided this child would indeed like to be swaddled cause gosh darn it, Dr. Karp said so. I broke out the appropriately titled Miracle Blanket and after a few moments of protesting, peace once again descended upon our happy home. Hallelujah, I believe.
